I have seen that Top 10s are a big deal so here are my Top Ten favourite things about the third trimester of pregnancy... I just love it so much I had to write a post about it. Really, its actually my most favourite thing I have ever done.
Get ready for the most sarcasm you might ever see in one blog post.
NB This is a rant.

Naked Plum

I am approaching 8 months pregnant this weekend and I am concerned. My baby has very few belongings and I need to talk about it. I need to talk about the real reasons why I haven't bought much and I need to talk about the bubble of panic about it that is rising in my chest.

Doctor! Doctor!
Sunday, 26 June 2016
From being classed as a 'high risk' consultant led pregnancy to being just a normal run of the mill midwife led pregnancy I've had a few extra appointments with the doctors along the way and I want to share some of the things I have learnt. Which is a lot.

Mr Plum speaks!
In honour of Father's Day I thought now might be a nice time to give Baby Daddy a platform to speak!

The Babymoon
Friday, 10 June 2016
Isn't this the most ridiculous excuse for a holiday you’ve ever heard?! I'm having a baby so I must go away with my husband!!
I have heard about Babymoon's and thought, what a joke, but actually, a bit of time away with my husband was actually really really important and really really nice. So here is a Babymoon review from a former sceptic...!
Eating for two?

Big apologies for lack of posts, my poor little laptop died and I have only just managed to get back online with my husband's MacBook. I am feeling very fancy though, I have never blogged from Mac before and actually this little laptop mate is quite nice! Maybe I might adopt it, at least until I can get something else sorted.
Anyway, this blog entry is about food. Not like a food review or a 'look at my meal' post. It's about my relationship with food as a pregnant person. Because actually, it is something that has really changed over the last 6 and a half months!

Halfway House
Monday, 16 May 2016
At halfway through my pregnancy I wanted to do a little post about where I live now.
I used to live in a two bedroom house, in Romsey (a middle class dream!) with my husband, our dog and our cat. Now I do not. But that's ok.

Itchy and Scratchy
Wednesday, 11 May 2016
This post is maybe a little more cheerful than the last, none the less, still a bit of a moan!
BUT! I've reviewed a couple of products that have really helped me sooth my skin and relieve some crazy itching.
Before anyone gets any ideas, this isn't a spiel about an itchy fanny, the main areas for itch are under my now gigantic breasts (that is a blog post in itself, stay tuned for that gem!) and on my legs.

Survival
Wednesday, 4 May 2016
I have now made it to week 15 and haven’t been sick for
nearly a fortnight. I have had a dark few weeks (months if I’m being honest)
and felt horrible about everything around me. I have had some real Jekyll and
Hyde moments and been vile to my poor husband, friends and family. Even
Brambles got a bit neglected, but god bless her she tried. She even licked my face when I cried.

How many weeks?
Tuesday, 26 April 2016
Before being pregnant the word trimester meant very little
to me. When you’re pregnant everything is first trimester this, second
trimester that. It’s all quite interesting because working in education I see
it as pregnancy is split into three terms, like an academic year. (Academic
years have Autumn Term, Spring Term and Summer Term)
Another thing that happens when you’re pregnant is
everything becomes weeks not months. You are 6 weeks p regnant, 8 weeks
pregnant, 12 weeks pregnant etc etc. I think that the reason why this is is
because so many things change week by week. That and if you complied the list
into months e.g. in month one you will experience abcdefghijkl, no one would
want to be pregnant, it would be too daunting and then the population would die
out. At least that’s my theory.
When I discovered I was pregnant I was 5 weeks pregnant
(this was after a GP confirmation that yes, this is real) Now, in my brain I
was frantically counting back 5 weeks thinking, wait a minute, I wasn’t doing
any sex that day!? But actually, that isn’t how it works.
I don’t know how women are expected to know this, but how
many weeks pregnant aren’t actually counted from conception. It is counted from
the date of your last period. So technically, youre counted as ‘being pregnant’
before you’ve even had sex and conceived a baby. Bizarre isn’t it.
After the doctor used this spinny round puzzle like card to
work out my dates, I went home and googled a way to confirm this for myself,
just to check, because I’m a control freak like that. This the website confirmed what a healthcare professional with years of training had already
told me. (Why I couldn’t just accept his words, I don’t know) If you're pregnant and confused by your healthcare professional the website I used can be found here.
Please note how pregnancy is called a ‘condition’ by this
website…
